Reports to: Senior Financial Accountant
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the direct management of the financial operations support services function in the areas of business planning processes, accounting and treasury, financial reporting and analysis, internal financial controls and people management in SOUTHERN SUDAN (SS) in liaison with the Senior Financial Accountant.
Roles and Responsibilities- Support the SS budgeting process and ensures that operational plans are consistent with the approved budgets (CAB, CAT) received from Regional Office.
- Support capacity strengthening of financial management of community and staff.
- Support effective financial monitoring and reporting for communities and staff.
- Effectively participate in programme and operational budget preparation process.
- Facilitate and ensure compliance with organizational systems in regard to funds disbursement.
- Facilitate and ensure accurate and timely funds availability to Plan Southern Sudan Offices.
- Stand in for the Senior Financial Accountant whenever required.
Qualifications and Experience
- A University Degree –Bachelors Finance, Accounting or related fields recognized institution with CPAII or CPAK/ ACCA with at least 2 years relevant experience working in a reputable organization,
- Experience with financial information systems and MS office.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office and major commercial accounting software applications),
- Experience in setting up and effectively maintaining community friendly financial management systems.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate and participate in team oriented work environment
