Mechanical Engineer Career Opportunity – Horwath Tanzania

Our client is a private company established in the United Republic of Tanzania to carry out its business in providing civil, mechanical and electrical engineering services with major clients being from cement and other manufacturing industries.
Our client has for years been providing mechanical engineering services such as fabrication, cooling and machine shop to a large range of manufacturing industries, such as cement factories.
Key Responsibilities:
The Mechanical Engineer will be assistant to the Managing Director and responsible for
  • Managing and controlling the operations of the Mechanical engineering department
  • Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and throughput
  • Designing complex subsystems or components with minimal guidance;
  • Developing a project specification with colleagues. often including those from other engineering disciplines and
  • Discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers.
Qualifications Required:
He/she must be a mature individual having the blowing qualities:
  • A holder of BSc. Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Experience in working with projects at Cement factories and other manufacturing customers.
  • A proven and honest track record experience in the management of organizations supported by strong recommendation on integrity.
  • Experience in hydraulics and electricity.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to enhance participatory management approaches and promote teamwork among staff.
  • Computer literate with excellent Interpersonal skis and communication proficiency in English – Swahili being an advantage.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of directly applicable mechanical engineering experience.
Remuneration: Very attractive package will be offered to the successful candidate.
Period of Employment: On two years contract basis with possibility of renewing subject to performance.
