CREDIT CONTROLLER
FIN – CC – OCT 10
Reporting to the Principal Credit Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following;- Ensure postpaid applications are properly filled with all the necessary details and approved in accordance with the set business rules;
- Follow-up of the trade references, confirmation with the banks, card centers, and credit reference bureau during vetting & verification process;
- Verify and analyze risk on the applications based on their trend and review the effectiveness of acceptance criteria against actual bad debt experience;
- Reassess all cases gone bad in order to track back the vetting results and implement remediation methods;
- Ensure post pay termination requests from customers is processed and the deposit refunded within the set criteria;
- Carry out regular reconciliations of deposits charged against actual received in the post pay billing platform & ERP;
- Ensure that all account management issues relating to line transfers and credit limit changes are managed appropriately and can be accounted for;
- Prepare weekly reporting on the verification tasks and status of all applications received and processed.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor degree from a recognized university preferably Bachelor of Commerce or Business administration;
- Diploma in Credit Management;
- CPA (K) ,ACCA qualifications will be an added advantage;
- At least 2 years work experience in an administrative and/or accounting management role in a credit/debt management environment;
- Report writing skills are a fundamental requirement;
- Good communication , interpersonal and analytical skills;
- Excellent knowledge and hands on working experience in operating Microsoft Office suite and Oracle Financials;
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the Safaricom range of Products and services.

2.KEY ACCOUNTS MANAGER

Reporting to a Senior Manager - National Dealer & Key Accounts, the job holder will be required to achieve maximum sales volumes with realistic sales projections for accounts assigned, ensure revenue growth and retention of channels and manage premium branding and merchandizing standards for the channels.
The job holder’s key responsibilities will be:
- Recruitment of new key accounts and growth of existing key accounts;
- Achievement of sales targets in terms of airtime sales and revenue generated from the channel;
- Implementing market plans as per the channel;
- Effectively manage the overall operations of newly acquired channel accounts and ensure compliance to channel contractual agreement requirements;
- Execution of effective promotional activities within the sales channel;
- Preparation and monitoring of the key accounts section budget.
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and competencies:
- Degree in Business Administration or related field;
- Must have a total of 5 years working experience in a sales function of which 2 years must be in managing key accounts;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong thinker with strong business and commercial sense;
- Proactive, confident, energetic and with an ability to work under pressure;
- Team player with pleasant outgoing personality and able to develop effective relationships.
