Mwananchi Communications Limited publishers of leading Tanzania newspapers, Mwananchi, Mwananchi Jumapili, Mwanaspoti, The Citizen and Sunday Citizen and a subsidiary of the Nation media Group are looking for motivated and highly experienced individuals to fill the position of Sales Manager, based in Dar es Salaam Tanzania.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, key responsibilities will be to:
- Plan and manage achievable sales targets of adverts in the newspapers;
- Prepare budgets and performance reports for the section;
- Lead and supervise the sales team;
- Supervise production of advertisements;
- Ensure timely collection of debts from clients;
- Develop strategies for combating market competition;
- Communicate and harmonize with clients;
- Any other assignments as may be assigned by the Sales and Marketing Manager.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree/Advanced Diploma in Business Administration majoring in Marketing/Sales Management from a reputable University or other higher learning institution;
- Excellent Communication Skills in both Swahili and English;
- 5 years working experience in the Media or in the FMCG industry.
