The New Kenya Co-operative Creameries Limited is one of the leading Dairy Company in the Country re-known for its world class brands that include KCC Butter, Ghee, Cheese, Gold Crown, Safariland and Mala among others.
As part of our strategy to further strengthen and consolidate our lead, we wish to recruit dynamic and result driven persons to fill the following positions:-
We are inviting applications from qualified members of staff to fill in the following positions:-
Corporate Affairs Assistant
Reporting to the Corporate Affairs Officer. The Corporate Affairs Assistant will be responsible for :-
  • Supporting and assisting in coordinating the department activities as well as maintain up to date records.
  • Assisting in all administrative duties including of drawing budgets for events and writing reports.
  • Maintaining of press summaries and newspaper cuttings.
  • Maintaining and up-dating promotion materials such as receiving, issuing and keeping proper records on usage and requirements
  • Recording all customers interactions and transaction as well as details of inquiries, complains comments and forward them to the respective departments for actions.
  • Following up on public complaints and ensuring all are resolved.
  • Receiving and distributing mails and general office management.
  • Ensuring advance set up of venues for external events.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
The Candidate
The right candidate must possess the following qualifications:-
  • Bachelors of Arts/Communication or any related field from a recognised institution.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience.
Essential skills include
  • Must be well versed with standard office computer applications.
  • Must have good interpersonal, organization and communications skills.
  • Should demonstrate problem solving skills.
  • Must have well developed report writing skills.
  • Must demonstrate time management skills and ability to pay attention to details.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work under minimal supervision.
ICT Service Desk Officer
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager. He /She will be the first point of contact of computer users with the ICT department. He/She will be responsible for:-
  • Receiving reports on ICT faults and queries from computer users and logging calls.
  • Offering user support and problem resolution at first line and/or escalating to second line support.
  • Monitoring compliance with policies and procedures and reporting on the same to service delivery manager.
  • Providing users with tips on how to work more efficiently and how to resolve common problems.
  • Monitoring the New KCC WAN and Internet links at the NMC and liaising with the networks team for resolution.
  • Generating reports on monthly support calls and closed case.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
The Candidate
The right candidate must possess the following qualifications:-
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or related field from a recognised institution.
  • Must have knowledge of managing an ICT Helpdesk/Service desk.
  • Must have 2 years experience.
  • Experience in use of SAP will be an added advantage.
Estates Officer
The Job
Reporting to the Legal Office. The Estate Officer will be responsible for:-
  • Maintaining an inventory of all Company properties including land and buildings.
  • Ensuring payment of statutory outgoings on land rates and rents.
  • Sorting out land title issues.
  • Ensuring valuation of assets is carried out on regular basis.
  • Ensuring maintenance of Company houses is carried out.
  • Handling tenants’ complains.
  • Ensuring that vacant houses are let at market rates and as such carry out rental assessments and negotiation of leases.
  • Ensuring collection of rent and preparation of monthly statements.
  • Ensuring payments of utility bills of all properties and sort out any issues arising there from.
  • Reviewing schedules of dilapidations and building maintenance.
  • Advising on the performance of the properties.
  • Reviewing provision of services by those contracted to maintain the buildings, installations and equipments therein.
The Candidate
The candidate must possess the following qualifications:-
  • Must have a degree in land economics or related field.
  • Should be a registered valuer.
  • Must have 6 years experience in estate/property management.
Essential Skills
  • Must be proficient with office computer applications.
  • Must demonstrate time management skills and ability to attend to details.
Senior Accountant- Credit Control
Reporting to the Chief Accountant. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for:-
  • Supervising the credit control function in accordance with the Company’s credit control policy.
  • Supervising Company treasury functions.
  • Supervising payroll processing
  • Providing supervision on Tax matters.
  • Ensuring accuracy in data processing in all above areas.
  • Preparing final reports on the above areas.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the management from time to time.
The profile
  • Must be a holder of Bachelor of Commerce (accounting Option) degree or equivalent from recognized institution.
  • Fully qualified Accountant with CPA (K).
  • Certificate in Credit Control /Management will be an added advantage
  • At least 6 years working experience of which 3 years must be in a busy accounts office in a large/medium size manufacturing company preferably in FMCG.
Essential skills include;-
  • Must have good people Management skills.
  • Must demonstrate sound customer care skills
  • Must have at least 3 years clean driving experience and must be willing to travel extensively within the country.
  • Must have knowledge in computer applications.
  • Working knowledge on SAP will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to develop self and others through coaching.
Raw Milk Supply Manager
Reporting to the Head of Production. The Raw Milk Supply Manager will be responsible for the following:-
  • Development of long and medium term strategies and policies on raw milk supply to the Company.
  • Development of support programmes to create greater partnership between the Company and Dairy farmers.
  • Negotiate prices with raw milk suppliers in line with company procurement guidelines.
  • Identify and develop raw milk potential areas.
  • Establish long-term business arrangements with raw milk suppliers.
  • Ensure achievement of set targets on raw milk collection.
  • Forecast and plan on raw milk availability.
  • Liaise with the relevant stakeholders and Government officials on raw milk production and availability.
The candidate
The candidate must possess the following qualifications;-
  • Bachelors degree of Science in Agriculture/Animal production or its equivalent from recognized institution.
  • With over 6 years experience in a similar position.
  • Must have at least 3 years clean driving experience.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively within the country.
  • Should be a person of high integrity.
  • Must be a team player.
Essential skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must have excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
