JOB TITLE: Food Security & Livelihood Team Leader (TL)
PROJECT: Emergency Food Security & Distribution (EFSD)

REPORTING TO: EFSD Project Assistant (based in Aweil, Northern Bahr el Ghazal)
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a Norwegian NGO promoting and protecting the rights of people who have been forced to flee their homes due to war or conflict. We are seeking qualified and dedicated individual to fill this vacant position within the EFSD program in Southern Sudan. The candidate should be willing and able to travel to the areas where NRC Sudan works.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist EFSD PA in the start-up and implementation of the Food Security & Livelihood project in Warrap
- Lead the EFSD team (including Food Security team (5 persons), Awareness team (3 persons), Livelihood team (3 persons) and Extension Worker (10 persons)) in Warrap, ensuring that all objectives are achieved in a timely manner and according to strategy, methodology and plans defined
- Liaise and maintain excellent working relationships with the finance, admin and logistics teams to ensure full support to the food security & livelihood project
- Identify financial and logistical needs of training team for the implementation of activities
- Conduct internal weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings
- Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly narrative reports on the activities
- Actively participate in meetings with humanitarian partners, authorities and beneficiary communities relevant to the training team, and represent NRC in a professional manner
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Relevant experience working with a NGO in a similar position
- Good educational background with significant working experience in FSL programs
- Experience in administration, finance, logistics, personnel management and training
- Fluency in both spoken and written English and in Arabic and a Southern Sudanese language
- High-level competency in computer skills (common Microsoft Windows and Office applications)
- Proven skills and experience in report writing
- A valid driving motorcycle licence and national Sudanese identity document are required
Duty station and living conditions
- The duty station is Alek or Wunrock (to be defined), Warrap State. Duties will include travel inside Southern Sudan (NBeG and Warrap).
- As the position is for a Sudanese national the employee will be responsible for finding his or her own accommodation.
