The Live with Hope Center is looking to recruit a Nutritionist.? The Live With Hope Centre is a Community Based Organisation (CBO) working in HIV/AIDS based in Kericho.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
· Supervising Nutrition intervention activities in all areas of operation.
· Establish and carry out Food By Prescription (FBP) program with LWHC’s clients.
· Partnering with other organizations to expand nutrition services offered to beneficiaries.
· Give technical input and practical guidance on activities directed towards improvement of nutrition for PLWHAs.
· Carry out assessment and monitoring of nutrition progress for specific cases.
· Train community health workers on Nutrition values, safe food preparation and prescription.
· Provide support, advice and direction to other departments, particularly OVC, in implementing and conducting nutrition activities.
Qualifications and Experience
· At least a diploma in Nutrition from a recognized college or university.? A diploma in a nutrition course involving community development and/or participatory methods would be advantageous.
· Must be registered with the Kenya Nutrition and Dietetics Institute (KNDI).
·Experience working as a nutritionist in HIV/AIDS care/support, preferably for 2 years.
· Experience working in and/or knowledge of the ‘Food By Prescription’ (FBP) program would be advantageous.
