Sales and Marketing Manager –
Mocality.com
Mocality.com is a mobile online business directory that encourages consumer
and business interactions, with ambitions to become the continent’s largest
business and consumer platform. Mocality.com is a division of MIH Internet
Africa, a NASPERS company.
Mocality.com has an exciting opportunity for a talented and passionate Sales
and Marketing manager, who will be tasked with driving sales and product
usage as well as help build the product profile and knowledge in the region.
The Sales and Marketing manager should be a self-starter who is capable of
thriving in a start up environment.
The Marketing Manager will report to the Mocality.com Kenya Country Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities Marketing
· Develop the marketing strategy for Mocality.com
· Responsible for executing marketing efforts in order to improve
product and brand awareness in the market.
· Responsible for managing and training of the teams involved in
‘Education’ drives.
· Plans and develops traditional and digital (i.e. online and
mobile) marketing programs and analyzing customer response to the same.
· Tracks market trends, analyzes results in order to improve
marketing strategies and tactics.
· Assists in development and managing of marketing budgets as well
as tracking and management of expenses, to ensure they are within such set
budgets.
· Planning and management of marketing events and promotions as well
as other events that may be necessary to be undertaken by other local
Mocality divisions.
· Captures, develops and maintains demographic and other market data
as needed in order to support marketing goals.
· Timely and constant reporting to the Country manager of plans,
trends, and ideas that have been set to reach set goals.
· Develops new ideas and communicates potential uses for analytics
across the business

Sales
- Develops a sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of
company sales goals and profitability.
- Responsible for the performance and development of Sales/Product
Ambassadors
- Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective
search of sales leads and prospects.
- Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new
markets.
- Provides timely feedback to the Country Manager regarding performance.
- Provide data on competitive pricing models and on competition
- Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports
submitted by Product Ambassadors.
- Creates and conducts proposal presentations as and when required as
well as assisting product ambassadors in preparation of proposals and
presentations.
- Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:
· Minimum Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or related field
of study.
· Well-Developed Interpersonal Skills and Professional Demeanor
· 2-5 years of inside/outside sales experience preferably within
technology or service sectors.
· Excellent computer and project management skills.
· Familiar or experienced in a consultative sales methodology and
value based selling.
· Analytical skill set, strong presentation skills, ability to
interact with any level within an organization
· Outstanding Written and Verbal Communication Skills
· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships
· Experienced in gathering user requirements and documentation of
functional specifications.
· Enthusiastic can-do attitude, highly self-motivated, result
oriented, detail oriented and a well developed sense of drive.
· Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams
· Willingness to travel and work irregular hours
