The United States Embassy has a vacancy for Supervisory Visa Assistant.
Incumbent serves as the Locally-Engaged Staff (LES) supervisor in the Immigrant Visa / Diversity Visa Unit, comprised of five full-time LES employees.
Responsible for all facets of immigrant visa processing, staff training and development, workflow management, performance appraisals, scheduling, drafting of correspondence and reports, providing procedural advice to American officers, responding to inquiries from the public, and generally overseeing the entire immigrant visa process. Advises American staff on Kenyan family law.
Advises and trains Kenyan staff on U.S. immigration law. Also acts as primary point of contact for Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) processing in the mission and regional posts. Shall perform other duties as required.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in law is required.
- Two years of customer service experience is required.
- Two years of supervisory experience is also required.
- Level IV (fluent) English ability is required.
- Must have strong writing skills.
- Must have strong computer skills on Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power point.
