Job Description 
Background Information:
 

1. Duties and Responsibilities
Under general guideline of the FAO Representative and the direct supervision of the Assistant FAOR (Administration) and the project coordinator, the incumbent performs the following duties:  
  • Drive and transport FAO personnel/missions to various meetings and other location in the country
  • Deliver messages and letters to government and UN offices located in the country
  • Maintains updated records of vehicle movement logs, vehicle fuel consumption service and repair records
  • Ensure assigned vehicle is always clean serviced and repaired as per the specified schedule and in good working conditions at all times
  • Follow up with the relevant government offices e.g. Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Kenya Revenue Authority documents lodged with them.
  • Carry out various office miscellaneous tasks photocopying of bulky document etc.
  • Assist in collecting of vendor information and simple procurements of miscellaneous office items.
  • Performs any other related duties as may be required. -

 
2. Qualification  
Knowledge and skills: Secondary school education; Clean Driving Licence; Extensive knowledge of Nairobi and the country side;  Motor vehicle Mechanical repair a distinct advantage;  
Experience: Minimum five years’ accident free driving experience in an office environment;  
Languages: level C in local working language of the duty station i.e. Fluent in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili
Others: certificate of Good conduct. Tact; politeness, courtesy and ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with people of different national and cultural background. Ability to operate modern PC-based electronic communications systems,
