Reporting to the MD, the Finance Manager will spearhead the development, planning, implementation and monitoring of financial strategies in line with the overall business strategy. The position requires a strategic thinker who understands and is involved in all aspects of running the business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Overall responsible for the Finance Department
- Provide leadership and direction in the formulation and implementation of financial management strategies and policies
- Contribute to strategic planning while advising the Senior Management team on financial matters
- Manage the planning, designing and execution of proper accounting systems
- Prepare financial and accounts reports
- Preparation of and ensuring adherence to annual budgets based on work plans
- Ensure integrity in financial and management reporting
- Manage annual audits, including preparation of financial statements
- Monitoring financial expenditure trends and ensure cash flow management
- Accurate preparation of financial statements and overall expenditure of the organization.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Prospective applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. An MBA will be an added advantage.
- Must be a CPA (K) or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years management experience in Financial Management and Accounting.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in working with Accounts based computer applications.
- Honesty, confidentiality and integrity.
- Demonstrated high level of maturity and good leadership skills.
