Job Title: L1 Support (Infrastructure)

Company Profile: Our portfolio of business includes supply of Hardware, Software, IT Services and System Integration projects. It has also undertaken turnkey projects in Fibre laying and Data Center build and hosting.

Main Responsibilities

• Basic understanding of the OS & aware of basic commands & tools of UNIX.
• Installation of the OS under supervision
• Apply system patches and change kernels under instruction- Awareness of clustering fundamentals Administration
• Utilize remote access software available on customer networks to remotely control server
• Add users to local systems using available administration tools File and File Systems
• Understand data movement utilities and file permissions
• Mount and unmount file systems. System Processes- Understand process tables and how to stop and start processes Storage- Understanding of storage management fundamentals Understanding of disk systems (such as Mirroring and RAID)
• Know commands to view storage from the server Backup/Restore
• Thorough understanding of backup routines and be able to verify backups/data integrity
• Troubleshoot basic backup and restore issues
• Understand and use native and enterprise backup tools Security
• Understanding and acceptance of the requirement for physical and virtual security within the Unix environment
• Awareness of security classifications and policies Scripting- Understanding of the various types of scripts and the commands used
• Write and modify basic shell scripts Monitoring/Reporting- Possess a working knowledge of whs. ich major processes/areas need to be monitored- Basic understanding of monitoring and reporting tool

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 1-3 Years of relevant technologies Basic level Administrator
• Diploma or Graduate
