1. TOUR CONSULTANT
A well established Tour Company based in Nairobi seeks to recruit a
Tour Consultant to market and coordinate tours and safaris, manage
transport logistics, design and promote tour packages, and negotiate
and liaise with hotels and lodges.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Handle client enquiries via internet as well as direct calls and
face to face meetings
• Preparation of invoices & managing of correspondence
• Tour costing which includes preparing client quotations in a timely manner
• Plan and design tour itineraries
• Liaising directly with agents and clients worldwide
• Follow up on potential clients and enquires made
• Hotel reservations/bookings as well as drawing up invoices
• Providing to management monthly reports on tour itineraries made.
• Liaising with business partners e.g. Hotels & Lodges, Tour Operators
• Knoweldge of international destinations will be an added advantage.
Skills & Requirements
• Knowledge of computer applications
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• A bachelors degree/diploma in a Tour related field from a recognized
institution
• Minimum 3 – 5 years experience in a similar position in a Tour Firm
• Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
• Fluency in a foreign language (e.g. French, Spanish, German, etc)
will be an added advantage.

• Knoweldge & ability to sell local & international tours will be an
added advantage.
