Farm Machinery Field Promotions Technician Vacancy in Nakuru Kenya

A London-based international marketing company specializing in sales and promotion of Brazilian farm machinery is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Field Promotions Technician.

This is a new role which offers good long-term growth opportunities for an ambitious, self-motivated and driven young person willing to travel nationally and internationally.

The position:

Responsibilities: Technical Field Promotion and Demonstration of Brazilian farming equipment in Eastern and Central Africa and other Anglophone African countries; providing technical field support, training and demonstration; maintaining effective relationships with customers

Location: Based in Nakuru, Kenya, reporting to head office in London, UK; some international travel around Anglophone Africa will be required

Training and development: Thorough product training at the manufacturing plants in Brazil will be provided

Salary: competitive, commensurate to experience and qualifications of the candidate

Candidate’s profile:
  • Preferred age group: 25-32 years old
  • Qualifications: Strong educational or practical grounding in agricultural or mechanical engineering
  • Experience: 2-5 years of work experience essential
  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in farming and/or farm machinery
  • Experience of international travel welcome
  • Personality: positive, driven, ambitious, approachable and communicative, self-starter, capable of effective time management, able to think and act on his feet, and to perform required tasks with limited supervision
  • Documentation: Full clean driving license and passport
  • IT skills: Word processing, internet and email essential
  • Languages: Excellent command of English required (written and spoken); working knowledge of Swahili required; knowledge of Spanish / Portuguese / French welcome
