I represent www.verviant.com and www.pesapal.com a software development company and a payment gateway and we are looking to add some freelancers/partners to our ranks
Problem:
Web and Software projects are many and we cannot put work on hold indefinitely so we need to be able to interview, approve a few people/orgs who we can engage on short notice, give a task, agree on a time-line and deliverable and that's it
Current Status:
Such an approach has worked pretty well for us over the last 5 years or so, now we are looking to formalize.
Expectations:
This is a list of expectations
a. You will have to be VERY good at a technology (eg C#, mySQL, PHP, SQL Server, Joomla, Drupal)
b. You will go through our interview process (20 minutes of HR type questions and then 2 sessions with techies 1 on 1)
c. We will agree on an hourly or per project rate and take it from there
Note: There are NO upfront fees expected from you ...
Environment:
We use on-line project and bug management tools, provide access to live servers for you to stage your work.
We are not big on dress codes, ties etc etc ... as long as you are decent and get stuff done
