Reporting to Country Manager & Chief Executive Officer, the incummbent will be responsible for the design and implementation of innovative banking products in line with the Bank's strategic plan and marketing programmes. This will be delivered through setting of goals and communicating strategy aimed at strengthening the Product development unit including specifically:
Duties:
• Supporting the overall strategy with input to what product and service is offered, in which local markets, and to which specific customer segments.
• Align the customer target with group products that are cost effective to target, service and retain.
• Develop specific products to fulfill the needs of target markets and value propositions.
• Develop innovations that keep products and service offerings competitive.
• Provide constant review of product economics and profitability.
• Recommend product pricing after negotiation with channels and segments.
• Recommend targets and monitor sales and profitability against business requirements.
• Develop intemal communication with respect to products for staff information.
• Develop procedures and process flow for the branches on product delivery, together with appropriate training packs.
Qualifications:
Graduate qualification in Business Administration with a bias in Banking, Marketing or Finance.
• A minimum of 10 years banking experience, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial position.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with good word processing skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A structured approach to dealing with complex and variable work environments in an independent manner.
• A strong product development culture with the ability to manage teams effectively
• Ability to balance long term and short term requirements independently
• Strong evaluation, communication and reporting skills
• Able to provide advice and cause/effect evaluation to support business decision making
• Independent and logical thinker, yet an achiever and implementer
