Integrated Programme for the Handicapped Children
(The Small Homes Programme)
The Small Homes Programme was initiated in 1980 to coordinate and offer services to the disabled and needy children who are either neglected because of their disability or cannot access basic medical attention or quality education.
The Programme runs 6 Small Homes which are built near regular schools in order to offer hostel like accommodation for children Reporting to Programme Coordinator – Integrated Programme for the Handicapped Children, the person will provide guidance and counseling support to individual clients and support groups within the Programme with utmost professionalism and also at the homes to both the children and the affected families.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- To prepare narrative report every end of the month following the format provided.
- To identify and register the unidentified and vulnerable.
- Carry out community mobilization for participatory development activities
- Assisting in formation of Small Homes groups in the targeted areas
- Identifying cases that need corrective surgery and liaising with the necessary stakeholders and making necessary referrals
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma in Social work from a recognized institution
- 2 year diploma in special training from KISE
- Experience in CBR, Assessment and Inclusive Education
- Good interpersonal skills, communication, & report writing skills
- Should have excellent computer skills
- Good interpersonal skills, communication, & report writing skills
- Experience from interacting with NGO´s, funding agencies and government ministries would be desirable
- Must have a valid driving license
