Our client is supporting the roll out of dairy value chain products in collaboration with a large local bank. To deliver on this strategy, we are seeking to hire Agribusiness bankers who will be responsible to act as the primary point of contact for the bank’s customers and business bankers on the dairy value chain products.
They will be based within a specified geographic region supporting a number of branches with the primary purpose of delivering targets in respect to sales and customer acquisition, in line with the product compliance guidelines. The role holder will NOT have an individual portfolio of customers but will be required to make appropriate introductions to the bank’s regional branch teams and provide customers with specialist product advice and support.
The successful individuals will be hired on 6 month contract basis to support this project and we seek individuals who are immediately available to take up the position.
The minimum requirements for recruitment into these roles are as follows:
- Degree from a recognized university in Agricultural fields e.g. Agribusiness
- Credit Appraisal/Lending skills in a micro-finance or banking institution
- At least 2 years experience in rural lending especially in Agribusiness
- Some knowledge of the dairy value chain products and services offered to Agricultural customers.
- Well developed communication skills with ability to influence and sell the product
- A good work ethic and team-player
- Ability to manage self utilizing strong planning & personal organization skills
- Good PC skills
- Strong numeracy & analytical skills
- Networking ability
- Attention to detail (Quality conscious)
- Ability to work independently from a remote location with minimal supervision whilst achieving set sales targets
- Flexibility and willingness to be deployed in a rural setting with the requisite mindset and orientation
