Business Development Executive:
Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for the ongoing identification, development, and assessment of cross-IGS services business opportunities with key accounts, selected based on proactive market screening, targeting, and business analysis.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Developing extensive executive and senior management relationships in client organizations.
- Identifying and developing the most attractive opportunities (especially sole-source deals) for potential engagement.
- Carrying out market research and market intelligence to establish the consumer preferences and competitor trends
- Provide feedback on external market performance and trends
- Assist in facilitating marketing activities such as making presentations and drafting of proposals
- Bearing the responsibility for the ongoing qualification of these opportunities and recommend whether to engage, disqualify, or refer opportunities to other client groups.
- The steer the conversion of every opportunity into a revenue generation contract and help maintain relationship with each client account.
- They typically report to a Business Development Manager. Primary Measurement: Contract Signings performance; Business development metric such as, pipeline of well-qualified business.
- To be considered for this position, one must;
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in marketing or any other relevant fields
- Have at least 5 years experience in Business Development/Sales and Marketing, preferably in high capital fast changing technology products with corporate target clientele
- Have the ability to carry out structured marketing through concept briefs, proposals and technical presentations
- Have proven abilities to make analytical cost benefit analysis towards marketing of value oriented goods and services
- Have exposure in technology services and commodities oriented markets in the country
- Fluency in English
- Additional Information:
- Require a Kenyan passport holder to fulfill this role.
- Local knowledge and language to build capacity in Eastern African region
