Location: Mwanza office
Purpose of Job:
To drive CRS vehicles in town and in the field strictly observing the local laws and CRS policy relative to the use of CRS vehicles. To facilitate routine maintenance and minor repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
a. To drive CRS vehicles in town and in the field strictly observing the local laws and CRS policy relative to the use of the CRS vehicles
b. Perform maintenance and routine minor repairs of all the CRS Tanzania vehicles
c. To ensure that all vehicle movements are recorded and are up to date in the vehicle log sheets
d. To identify vehicle faults and promptly report to the supervisor for repair process
e. To verify records of all work done on each vehicle and on the respective job cards
f. Schedule regular vehicle inspection and servicing strictly according to manufacturer's recommendations or better
g. To keep spare parts stock and strictly monitor their use
h. Any other jobs as may be assigned by the supervisor
Direct Working Relationships
Fleet Officer, Drivers, Field Administration Manager.
Qualifications required.
a. Certificate Motor Vehicle Mechanics Grade II
b. A valid driving license Class" C"
c. Experience in vehicle driving and repair in other NGO or similar organization
d. Ability to speak and write in both English and Kiswahili.
e. Ability to interact well with others and work in a team environment.
